there are 8 planets 4 of our planets a terrestrial and the other 4 are our Jovion our planets closer to the sun are mercury venus earth mars they are made out of rocky material and there surfaces are solid they don't have rings systems but very few moons and they are relative small. smallest planet to the sun is mercury and the shortest orbit in the solar system venus is the hotest planet and it is upto 867 f and venus has extensive lava flows on earth water system help create only known environment to sustain live the last terrestrial mars might have supported life 3.7 billion years ago mars has the watery surface
